Our milestones reflect our dedication to using sports as a transformative tool for youth engagement and community development.

Through strategic partnerships and sustained efforts, we have expanded our reach and created sustainable opportunities, particularly for girls in sports.

Timeline

March 2022: Hosted a workshop with the Basketball Africa League on gender-based violence in sports, raising awareness across Africa.
May 2022: Led discussions on the importance of women in sports at Global Sports Week in Paris and explored sports economics at the Africa Soft Power Summit in Kigali.
June 2022: Spearheaded a campaign in Rwanda on Neglected Tropical Diseases, highlighting their impact on women and the role of sports in addressing these issues.
November 2022: Our founder, Benny Bonsu, was honored as a UNESCO Fit for Life champion for advocating increased involvement of women and girls in sports globally.
February 2023: Benny Bonsu presented at the United Nations in New York on combating neglected tropical diseases.
March 2023: Launched the Girls Talk event in Senegal, creating a platform for 100 girls to discuss issues impacting their lives.
June 2023: Initiated the #FiiMoyLycee challenge in Dakar’s first girls-only summer basketball league, benefiting over 100 participants.
October 2023: Participated in UNESCO's MINEPs in Barku, leading discussions on gender equality in sports
February 2024: Launched the #1000Stars program, distributing basketballs to girls in Senegal and Ghana to boost sports participation.
March 2024: Hosted the second Girls Talk event, continuing to foster dialogue and learning among women and girls in sports.
July/August 2024: Organized the Paris 2024 Olympics International Girls Talk Sports event with young people from the Ladies and Basketball program and NBA star Grant Williams, addressing challenges faced by girls in sports and promoting engagement.
